We've put our house up for sale
and a couple of weeks ago we made an offer on an ugly 70's rambler in Benson in need of love.
It has over 4000 square feet (there's a craft area/room in there and lots of living spaces) and over six (6!) acres. The down sides include a basement level garage, basement laundry, no backyard and only four bedrooms. But what makes up for all that is the price, its a short sale. We probably won't know if our offer has been accepted for several more, long months. The unknown is killing me, our realtor told us not to think about it too much, but I lay awake at night trying to figure out how to make it nicer/homier/prettier. I can picture us living there. There are good vibes, lots of good vibes.
This is my first attempt at curb appeal (via Photoshop):
But today this is what I've been scheming on:
I've spent too much time on it, trying to figure out how to give it some personality. My latest attempt includes enlarging the master bathroom, which definitely won't be in the budget for several years. Oh, well, back to the drawing board... another day.

Loalee said you'd made an offer on a house, I wasn't sure if it was the one that you talked about on fb or another one. How exciting! I hope you know soon. How far will that be from where you currently live? Will the kids be in the same school, or no?
ReplyDeleteoh I love number 2! good job. I hope you get it.
ReplyDeleteAWE!! You have a blog! How exciting. I'm so happy - I've always wondered if you did but never did anything to ask you! I searched, though. Yay.
