Jotham's 2012

I was reminded the other day that Jotham's perspective of the past year is a little different than mine.  This year alone, he's traveled to Mexico, China, England, Netherlands, Brussels and a large splattering of the United States, including a really fun trip to Boston  He's started ticking off items from several lists featuring the Seven Wonders of the World (a little jealous, since that's on my bucket list and not his.) This year alone, he's been to the Great Wall of China (for some reason I can't find pictures of this)  and Chitchen Itza (I got to tag along on that trip!).
.

In addition to all the travel, at work, he's had to deal with changing bosses twice and survived a major layoff when the head quarters move to Tennessee.

Settling In

We bought and sold a house.   Jotham doing all the home improvements that go along with getting a house ready to sell and fixing up the distressed property we bought.

We moved.

On a parallel tangent, our cat didn't move with us.

Apparently she was more attached to Richmond than to us. We are now onto cat number three for this year.  Our second cat, Lilly, was adopted after our dog brought her to Jotham in her mouth after finding her half starved to death out by the barn.  She lasted only a few days.  Lilly, the Segundo, is a little annoying.  She keeps trying to sneak into the car and has gotten stuck more than once, which has resulted in a smelly surprise. Yuck! But Jotham seems to like her, and Gavin adore hers. And hopefully she'll start doing her job of keeping mice away.

Back to Jotham and... pets,  Danko passed away this fall.  He was a good horse. A really good horse.   He will be missed.  A lot.  He was 28 years old.

Rest in Peace, old friend
Jotham also inherited a free horse, from one of his co-workers.  An old injured mare we've dubbed Captain Duke.  A great kids horse who has more whoa, than go.
