Elder Perry

Today I shook his hand,

An apostle of the Lord.

He told my daughter

"Your eyes are beautiful"

Her eyes are just like mine.

At ninety-one years of age,

He spoke of technology and education,

He wished the kids the roughest,

And toughest school year yet,

Because it would make them

Stronger and smarter, than ever before.

But, the best part of conference

Was after we stood in line.

And I stood in his mists

And felt his hand on mine

Thirty-five years I waited

But my children will wait no more

For they have met an apostle of the Lord
