We are dubbing this year "The Year of the Green Apple"
I personally don't like green apples, they are tart and often sour.
Red is more traditional for back to school, but this year is going to be different.
And different can be good. Green apples are just as nourishing, despite their tartness.
And with a little positive thinking and creativity Green Apples can be just as bright, fun and vibrant.
Kind of like this upcoming school year is going to be.
Tart, sour and most likely a little unpleasant.
But...
We had a great Back to School Dinner followed by father's blessings Wednesday night.
Thursday morning Hollie woke up bright and early, eager to rock her first year in middle school as a 7th grader. She was a ball of nerves, but survived the first day with no major drama, whew!
And Gavin, the last one in elementary school, is starting 4th grade.
Then Friday Morning Hannah and Mark started...
She's a Senior.
in the year of the Corona.
This could get exciting...
or probably, most likely...
NOT!
She's taking it in stride...
Because our school is doing a staggered start, the 1st day of school was torture for Hannah.
She had to eat lunch with her brother... HER BROTHER!
Good thing Mark is cool 10th grader.
And so the school year begins...
