Christmas Celebrations

We were bless to have Grandma and Grandpa Hatch join us for Christmas, they even slept over!

Christmas Eve dinner changed a little this year.  Our tukey wasn't thawed so it didn't get cooked and it wasn't even missed, too many other yummy foods to eat.  Never more will I worry about it.

The Christmas Story is never a very reverent event at our house, I wonder why?

Another appearance by King Hairy-od:

The Narrator:

In the beginning, Gavin insisted on being a soldier but we couldn't really recall any Roman soldiers in the Bethlehem story, so in the end we talked him into being a shepherd with Hannah.

  The Angel and the Shepherds:

Mary and Joseph:

Gavin was so cute Christmas eve, full of anticipation as only a two year old can.

We usually do christmas eve gifts, but nobody needed PJ's this year so we opted for pillow cases, plain white pillow cases.  Yeah, I know, the kids were disappointed too.  Until Jotham brought out the pillows that went with them.  Uh, hem...and the pillow fight that ensued!  Good times!

It never ceases to amaze me christmas morning how we can go from this:

to this in about 20 minutes or less:

Santa brought Gavin a roller coaster, as seen in the above photos
but I don't seem to have one of him with it...sad.

Hollie received an 18" doll and matching outfit.

Mark received Skylanders and a wiggle car:

Hannah was pleased with her DSi that she'd been saving for:

Hyrum is looking forward to spring when he'll be able to try out his rock climbing gear

Jotham tried to make it more exciting Christmas morning by making him
try on his harness to see if it would support him.  Of course like father like son:

For some reason, Jotham thinks we are going to start hiking a lot more.

And this picture just makes me laugh... out loud:

Christmas 2013 was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
