September Morn

The most exciting thing this month was a little Robertson family camping trip.  The idea had been to go up to Albion Basin in honor of Jill's birthday just like we did when we were kids.  But I was supposed to be in Africa that weekend with Jotham for convention, so it was bumped a weekend later but then the Ebola virus cancelled my Africa plans, and I felt bad but the campsite was already reserved.

Can I just say camping isn't a poor mans vacation anymore, at least not in the Salt Lake Area, it cost $20 a family to reserve that campsite for one night.  One night, times eight.  Don't get me wrong it was a nice campsite, very nice. Flushing toilets, running water, concrete paths and very green and wooded - my mom would have loved it.   But, I'll be honest, very different from what I've been used to for the past decade and a half.  Oh, and no dogs allow.  Nope, Nada, none.  Wished we'd have realized that before we got there, because we brought our dog and spent the entire time fearful of getting caught.   Hollie asked, "so Mom, are we breaking the law?"  --- Stressful

So as we are hiking up to Cecret lake, I was reaching into the far corners of my memory searching for that childhood memory that said I'd been here before but I just couldn't find it.  Everyone assured me however that it happened almost annually.  I'm sure it did, just wish I could've remembered it.

Tawnya was there, she just happened to be hiking around the
lake when this picture was taken.  But gosh, I love these people!

And then just a few of Hyrum's fun pictures taken this month:
