Jotham, Hyrum and Sam took off in the middle of a rain storm for their two night backpacking adventure. I thought they were insane, but Jotham was so excited to finally use his backpack I don't think anything would have swayed him. They saw some beautiful back country as they used a map and compass to traverse from White Pine Lake to High Creek.
All that first day it rained and made a muddy mess.
That night it snowed and they froze.
In the morning there was no fire because all the wood was wet
and no hot water because their propane froze.
But these are boy scouts we are talking about,
and so they just carried on, climbing straight up the mountain.
They came home no worse for wear.
Jotham had a nice time, Hyrum said "well, the last day was good."
