We'd planned on leaving to visit Grandpa and Grandma Hatch in Nauvoo over Christmas break, but we ended up staying home due to bad weather that closed the roads in Wyoming.
So we had to make the best of our winter break a little closer to home.
After being lazy, lazy, lazy for a few days
we decided to expend some energy and had a few fabulous runs sledding
down the Gun Range road.
A visit from the Batemans's:
Took the kids to see The Greatest Showman.
We all loved it!
Then that weekend we decided we could still visit family,
albeit, a little closer to home. We rounded the kids up and headed to Twin Falls to
stay a few days with Rustin and family to celebrate the New Year.
While there, we took in Shoshone Falls, they were raging.
The teens went off to a New Years Eve stake dance together on Saturday night
and then since New Year Eve was the next night (Sunday) we stayed home and played games until the wee hours of the morning. I introduced Hannah to Scrabble and Rustin gave us a good run for our money.
It was fun to watch our two little peas still tied at the hip,
Benson and Mark were pretty evenly matched.
But Jack creamed Gavin every time.
And then there's this cute picture of Hannah,
pulling a Hannah face curled up with a book.
gah... Love her!
It was wonderful to have Jotham home all week and make some progress in the basement.
We installed baseboard in the laundry room together with great success.
All in all, not what we planned but time together is always time well spent.
