Graduation

Well, that happened rather fast.

I swear he was just starting kindergarten, like, yesterday.

He's so handsome and debonair.

So proud of my boy.

and a little annoyed that we got so many great pictures with him

and his grandparents

and everybody that loves him.

Everybody that is, but me.
I didn't get a single picture with my favorite graduate....

But moving on...

After he walked -The Walk - we returned home for a quick refreshment with family before he went off to party with friends.

For graduation we gave him a fancy straight edge razor (that I believe he is too scared to use)
and all the paraphernalia that goes with it.

I tried to keep the dessert table simple,

but when pinterest starts suggesting things like wolf paws (the school mascot)

and diploma's made from Hyrum's favorite cookies.

What's a mom suppose to do?

The next day he headed out with friends on a grand adventure to Soda Springs:

and when his friends were asking if everybody had their permission release slips.

I paused and was just about to say no... I didn't sign a permission slip...
But then my heart clenched and I realized I didn't get to sign his slips any more.

He could sign his own life away doing high adventure feats and I'd never even know about it.

And in that moment, my mommy heart broke just a little bit.
And I needed to hold onto my baby boy just a tiny bit longer.
