Thanksgiving 2021

We arrived in Worland late Wednesday evening and were excited to see our Hannah who had driven drove over from Rexburg with Phillip and Kat.
First thing Thursday morning, we participated in the local Gobble Wobble.

Most of us just walked and enjoyed the cool and invigorating fall morning.
The big boys ran, Mark took on the full 4 miles.

And came in first place! Woot! Woot!

The other cousins didn't do too shabby either
with Benson placing 3rd in the shorter mile distance
and Nathaniel coming in 3rd on the 4 mile.

The girls set a beautiful table and Kim taught them how to make darling cornucopias.

Four beautiful tables full of amazing people that I am so grateful for.

Later that afternoon, Jim took me for a drive in the
1927 Model B Ford his grandfather had restored.
So incredibly fun, talk about a slice of history.

It was also Jim's 50's birthday and so Heidi over did with the pies
and invited all his friends and neighbors to celebrate!

Pie, Pie, Pie!

Then, Friday morning we dressed up and attended Melina and Malika's baptisms. I can hardly believe they are eight.  When the bishop asked what happens when their Dad puts them under the water, one of them quickly answered, "I drown." Ha!
And then as soon as it was over, as she's walking out of the font, the other one exclaims "That was fun! Can I do it again?" They were so cute in their giant poufy, white princess dresses.

We'd been having such a good weekend and I couldn't help but miss Hyrum.

That evening we went to the town lighting at the city park and Gavin and Tommy took a turn on Santa's lap. He asked for a scooter.

On the way home, we stopped in the Canyon to cut down our Christmas tree.

It was a gorgeous day and after several hours in the car
it was wonderful to get out and stretch our legs.
