This year, we celebrated Kids Day a little later in the summer than usual, since we were gone to a family reunion during our regularly scheduled Lagoon day. The plan had been to take the kids out to lunch and then get them a new trampoline since the old one was falling apart and rather dangerous. So, that afternoon we took them to their favorite pizza parlor, the Pizza Pie Cafe. And. they were twice treated because some of their favorite cousins from Wyoming were in town and decided to join us. After lunch we set up their new trampoline, played with cousins and had a jolly good time. A most excellent Kids Day celebration.
But then later that afternoon, I broke out the chocolate fountain I'd bought earlier that morning on a whim for a few dollars while garage selling, and the trampoline was quickly forgotten. I knew they'd like it but, honestly, it surprised me how much! It was their favorite thing that day, better than pizza, cousins, or a new trampoline. Choc.O.late. I only wished I'd realized I was lacking in fresh fruit, but we made due with marshmallows, apple slices and pringles, all delicious when covered in chocolate.
Let the mess begin!
Chocolate. Chocolate....Chocolate!
Love everything about this. Almost tempted to implement kid's day at our house, slightly more tempted to just find a chocolate fountain.
