We arrived mid afternoon in San Diego, and after we checked into our room, I followed Jotham around as he spent the entire time waiting around to help set up. Its was aggravating to watch the lack of organization and time being wasted because of a lack of strong leadership. It took this group of guys three hours to build that silly backdrop, because although there was plenty of man power, there was only one hammer and one staple gun and too many cooks in the kitchen. Jotham's patience finally wore thin too, he tired of waiting and took charge.
The next day I rented a bike with some of the other wives and we rode up and down the board walk.
So, pleasant and peaceful. (And Jotham worked).
The next day I went to a different beach with some of my franchise friends.
(and Jotham worked).
The next day, the company hosted a trip to the San Diego Zoo
We saw lions and tigers and bears. Oh, My!
We didn't have time to see it all and Jotham was technically working
(he talked business the entire time).
The baby hippo was adorable and the pandas were fun!
Our last day, I took an uber to the San Diego temple.
Such a pretty temple, as gorgeous inside as it is out.
Taking an uber by myself was an adventure.
(And Jotham worked.)
(And Jotham worked.)
In short, Jotham had to work the entire time (12-14 hr days) and I hung out by my lonesome or with strangers for the most part. It wasn't the best couples get away that I was hoping for and craving. But away I was, and ever so grateful for my mom and dad for watching the kids.
